Just dropping by to say thank you for the fav (didn't notice it back then), and your gallery is awesome! :D I might slowly become a space art fan just from looking at fabulous art pieces like those. :D

Haha yeah :D, it's shown how long I've been on.. 4 years haha, except I didn't really use it much early on :P.
As for the community, I think it's best to join groups and stuff like that because it is really hard to kind of "advertise" your art etc especially if there are new submissions every second, your art just reaches the 1000th page in no time haha :d. In fact, I think I will watch you to see any new submissions you do, I'm liking your art style currently :D.

Oh thank you so much for the kind advice :)

Since I'm a self-taught amateur, I'm constantly testing all of styles just to see which one isn't too hard for me. ^^;;; I don't draw very often but I do accumulate them over the years or whenever there's a festival/birthday coming up... Maybe in a few days I'll find some old work and put them on here as well. :D

Not quite sure about self-promotion, though. I do love comments and I love making new friends as much as anyone, but usually I just happily work on stuff and then leave them there without promoting any of them. ^^;;; (It was a very wise choice, considering what kind of stuff I was drawing during my childhood... I know I shouldn't ask too much of myself back then, but I'd still burn those pics if I can still find them XD) Besides, if I happen to make any new friend even without self-promotion, I can tell myself how lucky I am. It feels so much more special this way :)

You're welcome! :). I'm self taught as well :D. I paint with my mouse on photoshop and manipulate stuff haha. I just do some when I think I have a good idea. I should think about doing some for birthdays, never really done anything like that :o.

Ahh yeah, I like to get people's perspective on my work to critique me so that I can get better, so I need people to see my work, there are some groups that have a "need critique" folder so I think that's a great way to get other people's views on your work to improve :d. I guess I'm the sort of person which always wants to improve and improve haha. Anyway, I also have some older works that make me cringe XD haha, oh goodness the first things I ever did on photoshop were... eye killers to say the least haha.

I agree, making new friends without having to promote is a great thing :), feels so much more personal than a passing "I like your work" haha :d.

Oh my! You're self-taught too? I could never tell just by looking at your work. :D

Haven't realized the importance of asking for critique until now... Must be a really effective way to improve the skills. That being said, sometimes it can be hard to say what can be done better once you reach a certain level. XD I'm nowhere near that level yet, though; I'm still at the stage where many things feel very wrong in the pic and the only way to fix them is by random trial and error. XD

I'm drawing pics as birthday gifts mainly because a) I want presents to be very special things that they can't buy elsewhere, b) I suck at choosing birthday presents anyway. XD And it actually provides me with some motivation to draw sth different than my usual interest fields, which is helpful in the long run. :D

Yeah :D. Ooh thanks haha :D. I started in around 2010 or something :P. Just playing around haha.

Yeah it is haha, I try get the attention of the professionals as they know what they are doing haha, but it's kinda hard to get their attention XD. Haha I feel the same way actually, I can NEVER get the exact image I want in my head lol. I have a decent amount of trial and error myself XD.

Haha I'm the same as you. I would love presents to be something that you can't normally get, something special. I also suck at picking presents. I have no idea what to give lol XD. Interesting, maybe I should give it a shot, I hardly do anything else but space art :D.
